What is the Conversor Pro and What Does it do?

The Conversor Pro is a FM personal assistive listening solution for use with your existing hearing aid. It requires no direct connection to the hearing aid.

Hearing aids compensate for the lowering of sound level by amplifying sound. However, most hearing aids are unable to replicate Aural Focus due to the way they pick up and amplify all of the sounds surrounding the wearer.

The Conversor Pro addresses this problem by utilizing the best features of your hearing aid and eliminating the undesirable ones at the same time. This allows you to focus your hearing aid on desired sounds, near or at a distance.

Not Just Another Assistive Listening Device

There are two parts to The Conversor Pro is a portable wireless FM mircrophone/transmitter and a lightweight pendant receiver:

• The Microphone/Transmitter can be held in your hand or placed on a suitable surface near the source of sound. It transmits the sound to the Receiver up to 80 feet away.
• The Receiver sends the sound to the hearing aid. This 'pendant' is connected to an inductive loop that you wear around your neck. It can be worn either above or beneath clothing.

How does it work?

By switching your hearing aid to the Telecoil setting, its microphone is switched off and the Conversor Pro microphone takes over. This superior microphone can be used in a variety of ways to improve your ability to hear nearby and distant sounds.

Designed for comfortable and discrete use. The Conversor Pro consists of two lightweight components - an FM microphone/transmitter and a Pendant Receiver. The compact, wireless FM Microphone/Transmitter provides enhanced sound level and clarity, near or up to 140 ft. from the user. It can be held in the hand and pointed directly at the desired sound source; placed on a suitable surface in close proximity to the sound source; or worn by a speaker moving about the room. With optional accessories, it can also be connected directly to a TV, stereo, VCR/DVD/CD player, or computer, for enhanced hearing enjoyment. Users can focus on the sounds they want to hear by selecting their desired mode of hearing - whether the Zoom setting for focused hearing and one-to-one conversations or the Omni-Directional setting for group discussions and social gatherings. The Pendant Receiver is worn by the user around the neck, either above or discretely beneath clothing, and sends the much improved sound received from the transmitter to either a hearing aid, cochlear implant, or binaural headphones, which are easily plugged into the receiver. Both the Microphone/Transmitter and Pendant Receiver are quickly rechargeable for up to eight hours of continuous use.
